Love Maine? Love Castine? … but don’t love paying thousands of dollars to stay?

These Cottages aren’t luxurious, or right on the beach, but they are super cute, clean and very affordable. Enjoy Castine and Down East and don’t break the bank doing it!

This cottage is a short and beautiful walk to downtown Castine. Less than 1 mile. 1/2 a mile to the Castine Golf Club, Maine Maritime Academy, and just across the street from the Manor Inn – where you can enjoy fine dining and a game of cribbage in the bar/restaurant. Owners Tom and Nancy will be sure to entertain you!

Castine is just an hour away from Acadia National Park – voted one of the top ten national parks in the US – and one of Maine’s greatest attractions. Fantastic hiking trails, and a natural sand beach. If you prefer to stay in Castine, you can rent kayaks at the town dock through Castine Kayak, enjoy a burger or lobster roll at The Breeze, a delicious snackbar right on the dock. The Back Shore is our own beach – not as sandy – but the water is warmer because of the secluded cove.

       91, The Red Cottage, is a 3 bedroom 2 bath Cottage

$750 a week (Sleeps 6)

       93, The Green Cottage, is a 2 bedroom 1 bath Cottage

$500 a week (Sleeps 3)

91 and 93 share the same property at Battle Ave and La Tour St in Castine (see map)

Just cross the street for a fabulous dinner and drinks at The Manor Inn, or take a short walk down town to dine at Dennett’s Wharf, Stella’s, The Pentegoet, or grab a drink at Danny Murphy’s Pub.

Both Cottages have a wood burning stove for cooler summer evenings, an outdoor stone patio with a partial water view, perfect for morning coffee.

Please contact me regarding pets: they are welcome as long as they are treated for fleas and ticks, and are house trained. An additional deposit will apply – fully refundable if no fleas or damages.

Castine is a short distance to Bar Harbor, Stonington, and many other beautiful Maine spots. Come visit!
